Formed in 1989, CGH Insurance Group primarily sells and underwrites property-casualty insurance through American Mining Insurance Company (AMIC).
CGH Group also provides claims adjusting and settlement on a fee basis for self-insured workers compensation clients and insurance companies through subsidiaries American Mining Claims Service and CGH Claims Service.
Mining Insurance Markets, another subsidiary, markets the policies of American Mining Insurance Company together with other insurance carriers that specialize in the mining industry.
Another subsidiary, Deck Software, develops insurance related computer software.
W. R. Berkley Corporation aquired the group of companies in 2007.
