Email FAQ's
FAQ
What will happen to my cghinsurance.com email address?
Eventually it will be removed from our systems.
What will happen to email that people send to my cghinsurance.com address?
You will continue to receive email that is sent to your cghinsurance.com address for the next 6 months at least. That should allow for enough time to notify anyone that you correspond with.
Do I need to inform any of the people that I receive email from of this change?
Yes. It is up to you how you notify people of your new email address. I would recommend adding a line to your email signature along the lines of "PLEASE NOTE MY NEW EMAIL ADDRESS AND UPDATE YOUR ADDRESS BOOK ACCORDINGLY".
Do I need to change anything in my Lotus Notes client?
No. BTS will make the required changes over the weekend. To receive the changes made, you will only need to close and then re-open your email client. If you close it before leaving today and open it on Monday morning the changes will be picked up.
Will I lose the email I already have in my inbox or my folders?
No. Everything will still be exactly where it is now.
So what EXACTLY will be changed then?
From now on, when you send a message, the person you are sending to will be receiving a message from <insert your first initial last name here>@americanmining.com. If they send a message to your cghinsurance.com address and you reply to it, the message will appear to have been replied to by <insert your first initial last name here>@americanmining.com. For those that have them, new business cards with the updated email address will be ordered soon.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thanks,
Mike Norwood
