Well, what exactly is ImageRight? It’ s a document-management  system built just for insurance. We turned to their own website for more.

“We built the ImageRight document—management system specifically for the insurance industry. Each feature was developed at the request of a business or IT executive, an adjuster, a claims manager, or an underwriter. All features were developed at the request of our customers, and our development, implementation, account—management, and technical—support teams work with our customers to refine ImageRight every day.”

Some of their strong points (again, according to their website) are:

  • Our support line will be answered by the second ring — always.
  • We will provide software updates at no charge — always.
  • If we make the dates, we meet them — always.
  • ImageRight will be as good as we can make it — always.
  • Every customer will be a raving fan — always.

American Mining Insurance Company News

A.M. Best Affirms Rating—A.M. Best Co. has affirmed the financial strength rating (FSR) of A- (Excellent) and assigned an issuer credit rating (ICR) of “a-“ to American Mining Insurance Co. The outlook assigned to the ICR is stable. The ratings reflect the financial support received from American Mining Insurance Co.’s parent organization via capital contributions, its recent improvement in underwriting performance and the company’s niche market presence providing workers’ compensation for mining risks.

AMIC has benefited from its recently refocused underwriting criteria, including the use of experienced mining professionals in both loss control and inspection functions, combined with its proactive claims settling procedures. Additionally, strong cross-marketing opportunities exist with affiliated companies within the insurance brokerage, software development, medical management and claims-adjusting industries. AMIC also has implemented a series of rate increases and continues to carefully evaluate all open workers’ comp. claims to ensure reserve levels are adequate. (from BestWire)

New States—We received our certificate of authority in Utah and Colorado this month and hope to be writing business there soon.
